What is a Post Frame Truss?
In general terms, a Post Frame truss is placed at more than 2′ On Center, up to 10′ On Center. Roof Purlins, which run perpendicular to the trusses, are placed on top of or in between the top of the trusses to support the roof. Purlins are usually 24″ or less On Center. The roofing material, preferably steel panels, is attached to the Purlins.
