A pull down screen is a projection screen which stows away when not in use. There are a number of reasons to use a pull down screen, ranging from a desire to use space efficiently to a dislike for looking at a projection screen when it is not in use. Pull down screens are readily available from companies which stock projection supplies, and they can also be custom made for specific applications. There are several ways in which a pull down screen can work. Classically, the screen rolls up into a housing which is tucked away near the ceiling. When the screen is needed, an operator can pull it down manually with a cord, or activate an electric motor which causes the screen to unroll itself. Pull down screens can also have rigid frames which slide the screen up and out of the way when not in use. In both cases, the screen can be pulled down over any number of things, including windows and walls, as long as there are no protrusions to catch on the screen and tear it. What is a pull down screen?

Do you remember that old pulled down white screen that we used to watch movies off the two metal reel projector in class in the late 80’s and early 90’s that was located at the top of the blackboard.  That pulled down screen has come a long way from 80’s to 2010.

The pulled down screen has come from the schools to our homes in our home theaters.  The old hand pulled down screen has been made with all new technology and schemes.  The screens now will be lowered down out of ceilings with motorized gadgets.  No more labor of raising your hand over your head or the walk either it can be done by a remote control.  The screens are now showing movies coming from different kind of projectors.  No more metal reel projectors sitting on a cart; however the new projectors can hang from a space on the ceiling or can be held in the palm of your hand.  There are no more black bars or spaces in the movies.  The glory of the hdtv projector is amazing.

The prices can range sixty-five dollars up to thousand dollars. The more modernize pull down screens can range in prices of the same amounts.  This takes watching home movies from the family vacation from a boring and a excruciating pain to a wonderful night with the family.  By taking the den and making some arrangements now you have the movies theater right in your lovly homes.  This is a way to save money and gas.
