What is a red, blotchy, reocurring rash on my face?
Two years ago I came up with this rash on my face. It started at the sides of my mouth and looked like wine stains. I went to a dermatologist and he gave me an antibiotic to take saying it might be a fungal infection. I took the medicine and it went away. For two years I have suffered with cycles of first intense itching, then a blotchy rash shows up all over my face, it burns like the dickens and makes my face very hot like flushing. The rash raises, and when I scratch it oozes clear liquid. Then it goes into another cycle where my skin gets flaky, and peels off like dry skin. It is not dry skin, as I used moisture creams with no fragrance in them to try and heal the rash. I have been to a dermatologist and he tested me for every thing from lupus, to fungal infections, to liver and kidney disease. My bloodwork comes back normal every time. He is stumped, and sent me to a allergist. Allergist doesn’t know what it is and sent me back to the dermatologist, who is completely baffled as to
