What is a shallot?

0

A shallot seems to be a cross between garlic and an onion. It’s slightly smaller than an onion although it looks more like garlic and has cloves. When cooking with shallots, you cook and prepare them pretty much the same way as you would an onion. Just remember, when cooking with shallots, less is more. They tend to have a stronger flavor than an onion or garlic.
