What is a shelfmark?

0

In the Catalogue you can tell by the shelfmark what the location of the publication is and how it can be received. If you have found a publication in the catalogue, you can click on ‘availability’. Under shelfmark you can then see the location of the publication. If it says “Main University Library” under location, you can request the publication directly in the catalogue. If it says “UB” followed by a more specific location (such as one of the faculty libraries), it is best to visit the location in question. The collections of the faculty libraries and some smaller libraries can also be found in the catalogue. If you would like to borrow a publication from one of these libraries, you should visit the library in question. More information about these libraries can be found under “Library locations”.
