A sit down restaurant is one that has table service, where the waiter/waitress comes to your table to take your order. Examples of sit-down restaurants include places like Applebee’s, Chili’s, Olive Garden and Marie Callender’s. Fast Food restaurants such as Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut and McDonald’s are not classified as sit-down restaurants.

A sit-down restaurant is a traditional eatery where the customer receives table service from a waiter or waitress rather than ordering at a counter (like at fast food restaurants). Sit-down restaurants include casual, family-style restaurants or more formal dining establishments.
