What is a solar panel made of
A Solar Panel consists of solar or photovoltaic cells made of silicon, a material used for its special property to converts sunlight photons – into electricity. Those cells are basically semi-conductors that absorb portion of light when it strikes it. The way it works is the electrons flow creating current, and with the available electric field on the PV will help generate Voltage (Current + Electric Field = Voltage/Power). Solar cells nowadays can absorb about 25% of solar radiation.
