A study permit is a granted approval to allow you to travel to Canada, enter and engage in studies at the primary, secondary, college or university level and temporarily remain in Canada as a temporary resident student for the period of your course. A visa officer needs to be satisfied that your planned stay in Canada will be temporary and that you will leave Canada on or before expiry of your study permit.
