What Is a Tactile Learner?
There are three primary learning styles through which a child acquires, processes, and retains information: auditory, visual, and tactile/kinesthetic. Tactile learners make up roughly 30 percent of young adult learners. While there are many misconceptions associated with tactile learners, the potential advantages to this learning style, if recognized and encouraged by educators and families, can be tremendous.
