What is a truck capable of carrying?
Michigan has an axle law, which restricts the amount of weight that can be carried depending on the number and spacing between each axle. The maximum weight allowed in Michigan is 164,000 pounds and up to 11 axles (with proper Elected Gross Vehicle Weight Plate). Most other states only allow a maximum of 80,000 pounds on 5 axles.
