What is a URL (Universal Resource Locator)?
URL’s are the “addresses” of sites or pages that exist on the Internet. They usually take the following form: http://www.example.com/test.html You enter a URL in the “location” or “address” field of a browser, and the browser will then try to pull up any data, such as web page or file list, that exists at that URL. Most browsers allow you to save the URL’s of your favorite sites.Be aware, however, that URL’s tend to change quite often. If you go to a link or a favorite URL of yours and you can no longer pull up that web site, there is a chance that the particular URL has changed or no longer exists.
