Video Transcript What Is a Vegan Lifestyle? WHITNEY TESLER: Hi. My name is Whitney Tesler on behalf of Expert Village. I’m here to talk to you about how to become vegan. I’ve been vegan for six years now. The definition of a vegan is someone who abstains from eating and using animal products and their byproducts. Some items are obviously non-negotiable such as meat, dairy, and eggs. Items such as honey, silk, and refined sugar are debatable. Gelatin and whey are also avoided as well as coverings such as wool, leather, suede, and sheepskins. Pet store purchases, circuses, zoos, and rodeos are also avoided. The list can go on and on from the film in your camera to the glue in your junk drawer. So, do the research and find out how far you want to take it. It’s really a personal preference.
