Most homeowners wish they had just a little more room for storage. A vinyl tool shed might just be the answer to your storage needs. A vinyl tool shed is a freestanding structure that can house a myriad of equipment and supplies-from your garden gloves to the storage of your motorboat. Most vinyl tool sheds are delivered preassembled, ready to slip out of the box and slide into place. Simply install the shelving units that come with the vinyl tool shed, and you are ready to start filling your new space. Before you order a vinyl tool shed, you will want to consider a few things: what size you require; where you will locate the storage unit; if you need any special features; and how much you want to pay. Vinyl tool sheds come in a variety of sizes, styles and colors. Be sure to select one large enough to store all of your outdoor equipment, while choosing a style and color that will complement your home and yard. A tool shed is a must-have for many homeowners.  Tool sheds offer extra storage space for things people might not want to store in their garages:   lawnmowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, and the fuel and oil for them, as well as drippy garden hoses and dirty shovels and other gardening tools.   Once the only choices for storage for tools for gardens and homes were wood or metal sheds.  Nowadays, vinyl sheds offer another choice.

Most of the vinyl tool sheds on the market are made of a tough, thermoplastic polymer that has been used in making outdoor toys for kids for many years.  Problems with discoloration and deterioration from exposure to the sun have been conquered, for the most part.

Advantages:  Vinyl storage sheds have several advantages over wood or metal sheds.  Vinyl sheds usually cost less to buy than wood or metal.  They may come already assembled and ready to set in place in your yard.  Some assembly may be needed, but it is usually minimal.  Since they are lightweight, homeowners can take them if they move to another home. They are durable and last for many years.  Some of them are expandable.  If you decide later that you need more room, you can buy an extension kit to attach to the shed you already have.  Vinyl sheds don’t rust like metal ones might, and they never need painting.  They come in several styles and colors to blend in with the look of most homes.  In many places, a building permit is not required to install a vinyl shed.

Disadvantages:  Some people might prefer a shed that is made of natural materials.  Aesthetically, the look of the vinyl shed may not be as pleasing to some people as a wood shed.  Even with the range of colors and textures that are available, the shed may not match the home as well as a custom-built shed of wood or metal.  Vinyl sheds may not be permanent structures; however, the low price and other advantages of a vinyl storage sheds makes them the best choice for many homeowners.
