What is AFPCs selection process for ASBC attendance?
A. AFPC’s selection process for the Air and Space Basic Course (ASBC) attendance is an arduous one where, in most cases, there are more eligible Lieutenants than ASBC seats allocated. Allocations for ASBC are generated based on the following eligibility criteria: CSAF Goal/Guidance: 100% attendance for all Line officers, to be completed in: First 22 months for AFIT direct accession First 18 months for: – Air Battle Managers, 92T2 – Intelligence, 14XX – Navigators, 92T1 – Pilots, 92T0 – Space & Missile, 13XX – Airfield Operation, 13M1 First 12 months for all other officers During the identification phase of the selection process, a computer generated selection model is created identifying all commissioning source graduates. This model contains pertinent data on each graduate e.g. date and source of commission along with various other human resource data to ensure the best possible match is generated maximizing time between EAD and class start dates. This process assures full attendance
