From what I can see at HSLDA’s site on VA laws, there is not a testing requirement in VA, so I think your Mom can tell them to go pound sand. I doubt they can pull you back into public even if you didn’t do well on the test, after all, they don’t put kids into homeschooling from public school after those kids do badly on the test (and many of them do). Here in NJ we just found out recently that the word “proficient” when referrring to test results, means 33% of the answers correct! Pretty poor, wouldn’t you say?
