What is an Alternative Spring Break Service-Learning Trip?
Something that’s harder to say than to understand. ► “Alternative” indicates that these trips are an alternative to other spring break activities. Basically that means one thing: Absolutely no drugs or alcohol are allowed. ► “Service-Learning” means that there is a focus on service and learning. In short, students help themselves by helping others. ► “Trip” suggests an element of fun and adventure. While the main activity is community service work, there is also a time for fun.
