What is an American Express®–branded reward card?
A. The reward cards are prepaid cards preloaded with points. One point equals $1 in purchasing power. The cards start with a pre-determined value and can be used virtually everywhere in the U.S. that welcomes American Express cards, including Kaiser Permanente facilities. The reward card is not for use at ATMs or at airline, hotel, car rental, telecommunications, and gasoline pay-at-the-pump merchants. Additional terms apply to card use as enclosed with the card.
