What is an Atom feed and how can I use it?

0

Atom feeds, which are similar to RSS feeds, are a way to get information automatically sent from one website (like TripIt) to another website (like My Yahoo). Put simply, an Atom feed is a website with a list of small ‘stories.’ In our case, these ‘stories’ would be about TripIt activity associated with you and your Connections. You can use a news aggregator (like Google Reader, Bloglines, MyYahoo, etc.) to subscribe to the feed. Your news aggregator will check periodically for updates to the feed and display new stories to you, so you’ll always know what’s going on in TripIt, even if you’re not logged into the site. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atom_feed for more information about Atom feeds.
