What is an electronic cigarette (E-cigarette) or smokeless cigarette as they are also called?
It is a cleaner, virtually odorless and less expensive alternative to smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes. It contains no tobacco, there is no smoke and there is no combustion of any kind. Simply stated it is a device comprised of a microcomputer, atomizer, battery and a cartridge (filter). You activate it simply by taking a puff or depressing a button. Once inhaled, a microcomputer or button activates the battery, this powers the heating element in the atomizer, and this in turn vaporizes the nicotine/ propylene glycol/vegetable glycerin solution in the cartridge (filter). It is a water vapor, not smoke you see when an E-smoker exhales. You get all the satisfaction of smoking but none of the exhaust.
