Endowed Teaching Chairs are awards granted to SCC faculty, in acknowledgment of the invaluable contributions they make to Seminole Community College as outstanding educators. Applicants are nominated by their fellow faculty and staff members. A committee comprised of SCC faculty and staff gathers and reviews a wide array of information about each nominee. Classroom visits to observe teaching style are also arranged. A committee of members from the Foundation Board of Directors reviews the nominations and interviews the finalists forwarded to them an SCC selection committee. Honorees receive a cash award.
