Environmental consultants are professional and technical specialists who provide their expertise and skills to a range of clients in the private and public sectors for a fee. We undertake studies and assessment activities and provide advice to clients on a range of environmental aspects and seek to obtain the most practical, sustainable solutions for our clients’ projects. In doing so we need to ensure our clients and their projects meet environmental obligations and comply with relevant State and federal legislation. A great part of environmental consulting is the potential to work on a variety of projects in both the field and office and this usually means some travel be that locally or interstate. We operate in a competitive market requiring us to keep abreast with new technologies and processes. Consultants need to develop skills in planning and analysing investigations, report writing, project management, communication and people skills.  more
