What is an Epi-Pen Epinephrine Auto-Injector?

0

An Epi-Pen is a pen-sized mechanical device that automatically injects a dose of Epinephrine (commonly known as adrenaline). Epinephrine acts quickly to improve breathing, stimulate the heart and reverse hives and swelling around the face and lips. Epinephrine is used in emergencies to treat potentially dangerous allergic reactions to insect stings or bites, foods, drugs or other substances. Epi-Pen training and certification can be included as a $5 add-on component to any CPR and/or First Aid course that we offer.
