What is an ergonomic shear?
Ergonomics is the science of body motion. Ergonomics dictates that the motions of stylists are very unnatural and strenuous. Studies found that there was a high incidence of arthritis in the beauty profession. While cutting, hair stylists typically stand with their knees flexed, belly protruding slightly, wrists angled upward and fingers opening and closing in a motion whereby the thumb leads towards the ring finger.
