What is an implantologist or an implant dentist?

There is no recognized specialty of implantology. The practice of implant dentistry in Canada or the United States is not regulated to any one specialty. Any licensed dentist in the province or state can practice implant dentistry. However there are only 3 approved specialties that have recognized implant dentistry training in a standardized university environment.
