What is an SST?

SST stands for Student Study Team. An SST is assembled when a teacher or parent believes a student is not being successful and needs some type of intervention. Once the teacher or parent/guardian initiates the request, the counselor will gather input from the student’s teacher on current academic progress and behavior. Then the counselor will plan for the team to meet and review the data. An SST consists of the student, parent/guardian, teachers, and counselor.
