Monohybrid indicates the inheritance (or lack of) of a single characteristic (a.k.a. gene or trait) in the offspring of parents whose characteristics are known. Examples include eye color, height, voice, etc…… Dihybrid indicates the inheritance (or lack of) of two LINKED traits from both parents. Examples include “brown hair and brown eyes” and “blond hair and green eyes” and even “black hair and blue eyes” or “tall and skinny” or “overweight and diabetic” etc……
