You will be aware that, if a transaction of Rs. 5000/- is received from your site and forwarded to the gateway and authorized in real time, it means that the amount of Rs. 5,000/- is blocked from your customer’s credit card limit for a period of 8 days. For eg. If customer’s Credit Card credit limit is Rs. 25,000/-, Rs.5,000 will be blocked for your transaction with Rs.20,000 credit balance for a period of 8 days from time of authorization of the transaction. This Rs. 5,000 which is blocked for 8 days will not be reflected in their Credit Card statement until the amount is captured from your EBS account module. Therefore it is vital that the merchant ships the order within 7 days and capture the transaction amounts from your EBS account.
