What is Bee.Nets Spam and Virus filtering solution?
Bee.Nets Spam and Virus filtering solution is a service that monitors, identifies and quarantines unsolicited emails and email-borne viruses from the stream of SMTP traffic coming into Bee.Net’s mail servers. On Spam filtering, the Service uses three tiers of rules, (1st-tier rules at the system level, (2) 2nd-tier rules set by Bee.Net and 3rd-tier rules set by the end-user), that allow or block unsolicited emails based on sender, recipient and content (updated every hour or upon end-user request). There are currently no limits on the number of rules, but a set policy may be implemented in the future. On Virus filtering, the Service uses Trend Micros http://www.antivirus.com/ rule-based and pattern-recognition technology to detect and remove both known and unknown viruses, including all “in-the-wild” viruses and a database of known viruses (updated every 15 minutes).
