The Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control and other agencies are working to evaluate reports of Fusarium keratitis, conduct a study to determine factors associated with Fusarium keratitis, and conduct surveillance to determine the scope of the outbreak. In addition, the FDA and CDC did an on-site evaluation of Bausch & Lomb’s plant in Greenville, South Carolina.
