Since that equates to a $500 computer, you aren’t looking at a high end system. I’m not entirely sure what you mean by ‘only cpu’ because only cpu doesn’t work with hardcore gaming. The best bet is to get a lower end dual core processor, such as the Athlon X2 or Pentium Dual Core (Intel if you want to overclock), and match it up with as relatively cheaper parts (ValueRAM, smaller SATA hard drive, Rosewill case, Liteon DVD burner, and an OCZ PSU) and then use whatever money you have left over to buy either a Geforce 8800 or Radeon HD 3800, whatever the best you can afford it.
