What is best to use for bathroom floor?

Rolled vinyl flooring would be better than peel and stick tiles. Both options could be placed directly on to the hardwood floor. Peel and Stick is easy but rolled vinyl will look better and last longer. Ceramic tile would be a much better option. Also consider refinishing the hardwoods. In a small area like a bathroom it should be an easy job. You may be able to just lightly sand the hardwood and recoat with a water based polyurathane made specifically for wood floors. If the floor is badly damaged you will have to sand it down to the bare wood, before you stain and finish it.
