Bill C-68 was tabled in the Commons on 14 Feb 1995, received third reading and was passed by the Commons on 13 Jun 1995, was passed by the Senate on 22 Nov 1995, and received Royal Assent on 6 Dec 1995. Much of Bill C-68 (now “Chapter 39 of the Annual Statutes of Canada, 1995” or “S.C. 1995, c. 39”) came into force on 01 December 1998, after being postponed five times.
