Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu is the name for a system of martial arts. The Bujinkan is an organization created by Dr. Massaki Hatsumi after his teacher Toshitsugu Takamatsu died. Before his death Takamatsu gave Hatsumi the makimono (lineage scrolls) to nine schools of martial arts. Along with these densho (scrolls) came oral transmissions of the spirit and essence of each of these schools of martial arts.
