Carpet tape is a collective term used to identify three types of tape routinely used with carpeting projects. One example of carpet tape has to do with tape used to keep carpets and area rugs in place. The term is also used for a tape product that is used to bind up raw edges on carpets and carpet fragments. A third form of carpet tape has to do with joining two or more sections of carpeting to create a single section. When it comes to keeping a rug in place, a double-sided carpet tape product is often used. Adhesive found on both sides of the tape made it possible to create a strong bond between the backing on the carpet and the floor surface. This type of carpet tape usually is found in rolls, as with any other type of tape product and is an ideal solution with any carpeting that is not manufactured as a no-slip rug. awww thank you carpet tape is just very heavy duty, ultra sticky double-sided tape - so you stick 2 strips of that (it's 2" wide) across the card, then peel off the backing and stick on your picture/fabric/watercolour etc. ... more
