What is Cegetels strategy in the French market?

0

“Cegetel is aiming to be the leading alternative operator in France in three distinct markets: business, residential and wholesale. At the end of 2003, our turnover came to 1.3 billion euro, a figure definitely higher than any other alternative operator. However, France Télécom is still the market leader, but for our part, targeting the DSL offer means being able to control the last mile and offer services developed for the end user: voice and Internet today, video and mobile services tomorrow. 2003 was the year for partial unbundling, 2005 will be the one for total unbundling, even if it isn’t going to be an easy challenge to tackle. Actually, in France, there are continuing discussions about last mile unbundling regulation, in order to gain the best conditions from France Télecom. In any case, due to the decision taken in 2003 by ART, France is now the European leader for partial unbundling and is getting ready for the total unbundling challenge.
