Child Care Benefit (CCB) helps with the cost of child care. It is designed to help parents, foster parents and grandparents balance their work and family commitments. If you have not received CCB for approved child care, visit the Family Assistance Office (FAO) website at www.familyassist.gov.au or phone 13 61 50.

Child Care Benefit is a payment to help you with the cost of child care. Child Care Benefit is available for families using either approved child care or registered child care. Approved care includes long day care, family day care, in home care, before and after school care, vacation care and some occasional care. Approved child care services are able to get child care payments from the Australian Government on behalf of families to reduce their child care fees. Registered care is when you pay grandparents, relatives, friends or nannies for child care. Registered care can also include care provided by individuals in some private preschools, kindergartens and outside school hours care services. The carer or teacher in these services must be registered with the Family Assistance Office. Your carer can tell you if they are registered.
