What is Cosplay, anyway?

Cosplay is when fans of a game, anime series, or TV show decide to dress up as thier favorite characters. This can be done anywhere, but is usually cosplayers only dress up for parties and conventions. Anime conventions in the US have many cosplayers from imported games, with the Final Fantasy series being one of the most commonly cosplayed themes. Other commonly cosplayed games are: • Breath of Fire Series • Chrono Cross • Chrono Trigger • Xenogears • Grandia These games all have interesting, easy to portray characters that are all well drawn in the games. A good character to cosplay is someone who is interesting, looks nice, but does not have such an outlandish costume that it would be difficult to wear.  more
