What is CPDs relationship with the Government of Bangladesh?
CPD is a non-political organisation which seeks to stimulate public awareness and discussion about issues relating to Bangladesh’s development. Representatives from both the government and the opposition political parties, as well as NGOs, academics and researchers, trade bodies and grass-roots organisations are invited to participate in the various dialogues and discussions organised by the CPD. CPD regularly provides inputs to the policy makers based on the findings of its research studies and recommendations generated through its dialogue process. CPD believes an accountable and transparent system of governance is critical to achieving sustainable economic development in Bangladesh. CPD does not receive funding from the Government of Bangladesh.
