Hollister’s website starts out with the claim that “the more debts you have, the faster you will be debt free.” (This is the equivalent of saying I lost money on every unit, but made it up in volume. *sheesh*) If his financial checkup is good, I don’t begrudge him the money he’s charging for the CD–though he swears it’s because he learned it in a marketing class (people value things that they have to pay for), not because he, personally, likes to eat. Of course, he offers to customize his program just for you (the consultations are where he makes more money…and in the late night infomercial world it’s how *all* the money is made). The low-cost introductory CD is to steer you to the “high-end financial counseling” that he offers. (High end just means you can afford to pay the fees.) Many financial planners can offer what he does, even if they don’t polish their apples with a Christian sleeve.
