In 1970 Linda Landwehr from the St. Charles Missouri area was the second teacher to teach aerobics. The original company was called "Aerobic Dancer Size." She owned and opperated ten aerobic centers in the St. Louis, Missouri area and now teaches ballroom dance in the St. Peters, Missouri area for the St. Charles Community College http://www.stardancer.net. Linda trained and was certified through Jacki Sorensen the original and the first to organize "Dance Aerobics." “Jacki was there when this industry began, and continues to produce programs that enrich the lives of all who encounter them." Her spirit and passion for movement and music has kept us fit and fed our souls since 1969. Ask anyone who has experienced one of her programs." http://www.jackis.com/. The first program was originally called "Aerobic Jazzersize" which Linda had named her program too and later had to change the name because Jacki owned it. So Linda changed her program name to "Aerobic Dancer Size." Jacki's program developed & incorporated Jazz Dance Moves in aerobic exercise where Linda's program did the same but used Ballroom & Jazz dance. Together both of these programs have been long lasting and a success in Aerobic Exercise today for many people before the "Internet was born!"
