What is DataSynapse GridServer and Seamless Distributed Processing?

0

Seamless distributed processing is a term given to our integration with DataSynapse GridServer to provide advanced scenario based distributed processing. Seamless Distributed Processing (SDP) provides a more scalable solution to the Run Manager technology. Some of the advantages of SDP include: • The ability to use any available machine on the grid since MG-ALFA does not need to be installed on the engines. • Insurance that all processors are using the same version of the system and data and the ability to run jobs using different versions of the software. • Automated fault processing and the ability to add and remove engines from the grid seamlessly and without disruption to the process. • No manual effort required to segment the jobs or initiate MG-ALFA on the engines for distribution by scenario. • Runs are distributed after the data files are built so there is no duplication of the initial set-up time.
