What IS dichroic glass anyway?

TOP Dichroic means two colors due to the mercurial nature of using precious metals with glass. It is a special crafted glass that reflects and transmits two different colors. Glass is coated & textured thinly using precious metals & earth elements such as gold, copper, silver, titanium, chromium, or aluminum. It is extremely difficult to capture colors exactly and there can be a range of up to 30% from one value to another. Dichroic glass is also difficult to photograph well as the colors tend to change in different light and angles.
