What is DUI murder?

If a person is driving under the influence causes an accident in which someone is killed, he or she may be charged with DUI murder, a felony offense. This charge is similar to the charge of DUI manslaughter, but involves a reckless indifference to the loss of human life that the law regards as equivalent to the intent to kill.
