The binary system of Sabayon Linux. You will use the client called equo to access the entropy system to install binary packages. This is still in beta stages as of 3.5 Loop1. We don’t have a lot of documentation on it yet as it’s still being developed. Check out the Wiki on Entropy • Use equo –help for finding out the list of commands. Use equo –help –verbose for more commands • Example of installing a package equo install foo of course you will want to make sure your database updated first, equo update. • To search for package equo search foo • To remove a package equo remove foo • Spritz is the GUI for Entropy. A binary is a prepackaged file already built that you use for installing instead of having to compile the source file. Equo and Spritz will handle these files.
