YES you can have these two fish together. You will want a deep sand bed as both love the sand. You will need a lid on the tank as jawfish are known to leap out (especially if you have two that are trying to mate). I recomment plenty of live rock. You will of course need a filter, aquarium salt, heater, and the extras like a hydrometer, thermometer, etc. A great book for beginners is The New Marine Aquarium as it is very simple and just goes over the basics. It is a short book but packed full of good information. Keep your salinity on the lower end of the hydrometer “target area” and both fish should be perfectly happy.
