What is Gait Analysis?
Gait analysis is the systematic study of movement of the lower extremities during walking and running. While MRI’s and X-rays are invaluable in providing a snapshot of an area and diagnosing potential problems, gait analysis allows us to dynamically analyze why an injury may be occurring. The bony structure, flexibility and strength of the lower extremities dictate how you walk and run. Gait analysis allows us to investigate what makes your walking and running style unique to you.
