What is going on with respect to arsenic levels in our water?
Four of the district’s federally-mandated five arsenic treatment plants are on line. Through the funding VVWD got from the Army Corps (of Engineers), the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and the state, the construction has been accomplished in a cost-effective way. All the water we’re putting out is treated water and is below 10 parts per billion, the new, lower EPA requirement. We are proud of the efforts of our team to produce these results in such a short period of time.
