What is good and bad about being a lawyer?
Good: helping people, making a good living, upholding the laws and Constitution, ability to be self-employed as long as you want (into retirement if you want), learning about different areas, meeting interesting people Bad: long hours, potential liability if you screw up, unreasonable clients/opposing counsel/judges, no control over schedule if you are not self-employed (and sometimes even then), deadlines
