A good grounding system is your first line of defense. It works in conjunction with Premium Surge Protection to provide a total defense system. The purpose of grounding is to limit voltage due to lightning or line surges. These sources of over voltages are provided with an alternate path around the electrical system of your home, intentionally connecting the system to earth.
