What is Hydro seeding and is it recommended for the homeowners?

A. It is a method of seeding by mixing the seed into a foamy plastic-type material and applying it with a high-pressure hose. Would I recommend it to homeowners? I guess not; I have yet to see a good full stand Hydro seed job. Q. My husband wants to sow grass seed himself and then have our lot Hydro seeded on top of that. The seed underneath will be wasted, won’t it? | A. No, as a matter of fact, that’s probably going to be the seed that will sprout, and the Hydro foam and a little seed would protect it. You can save some money, though, by just seeding.
